Doug Weber paints dogs and the women who love them.

This subject mirrors how he feels about painting:
To Weber, painting is the unconditional love and devotion to the look and feel of something you love in your life.
Weber is also a figurative artist who paints from models in what he calls, "The Still Life Movement". This experience of being present with someone in real time forms an intimacy unique to painting. Weber also works in another style suitable to wood block printing, an expressionistic medium that pairs well with pop art. Doug Weber is currently teaching figure drawing and painting at his studio, pumpproject.org.
